TRB was born as a versatile 6-string bass guitar along with the greater involvement of synthesizers in music in end of 1980s. TRB has been developed to cover low tonal range with a 6th string (low B), which could not be reached by orthodox 4-string bass, and also the 1st (high C) makes possible for advanced players for further improvisation and expression.TRB has employed a longer scale length of 35" to increase crisp tonal character in low range and great feel for string tension. TRB's low-noise PU and 3-band active circuit produce well-balanced clear sound and provide access to a wider range of tonal possibilities. As a result of Yamaha's countless efforts for innovation, TRB has been supported by many professional musicians since its debut in 1989 and become an icon of a 5 and 6-string bass in the world.

The Recording King Parlor Metal Body Resonator resonator puts traditional reso style into a small body design that packs a punch. True resonator tone begins with a classic nickel-plated bell brass body and RK’s own full-size hand-spun 9.5" cone. This is the same custom cone from RK’s best-selling resonators like the Swamp Dog. Thanks to the smaller body size and 24-¼” scale length, the Parlor Resonator has a slightly different voice than other metal body instruments. It has all the swampiness and mid range of a classic biscuit-style metal body, but the unique design adds a little more treble shimmer, giving it extra top-end clarity. Our first Grand Auditorium guitar featuring back and sides of Urban Ironbark, the 514ce delivers a sweet, muscular sound that combines rosewood's high-fidelity voice with mahogany's warm and punchy midrange and spectrum-wide sonic balance. Paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top for a played-in, mature sound and V-Class bracing for improved volume and sustain, the 514ce yields power ideal for heavy strummers along with touch sensitivity that gives it a wide dynamic range that's great for fingerstyle players.

552CE features a 24-7/8-inch scale length and a 12-fret neck that gives players a slinky hand feel that makes for the most playable 12-strings Taylor has ever offered. The smaller body size of the Grand Concert makes for a more comfortable playing experience.
