Pre-wired Kit for Strats

Upgrading the electronics in a Strat^® yourself couldn’t be easier than it is with our new Lollar Pre-wired Kits. The kits are hand-wired in our shop and meet Jason Lollar’s preferred specifications.

Whether you’re installing new pickups and want high-quality electronics to go with them, or you want to upgrade the stock electronics in your Strat^®, our pre-wired kits are a great option. We’ve done most of the work so all that’s left for you to do is install the kit in your guitar and solder in your pickups (sold separately).

Flat vs. Staggered Poles

As their names suggest, flat-pole pickups have all of the individual pole pieces set at the same height, whereas with staggered-pole pickups the pole pieces are set at different heights. Staggered-pole pickups were originally created to compensate for heavier string gauges—particulary wound 3rd strings.

If you’re unsure which to choose, we typically recommend flat poles rather than staggered. In most cases, flat-pole pickups will give you better string balance, as well as a little more presence, bass and output.

DiMarzio Muscle T Bridge

The Muscle T™ Bridge utilizes a traditional magnet stagger inspired by our favorite early 60s Tele® pickups. We’ve kicked the output up a notch to get more sustain and added warmth to the top end to eliminate the harshness. The balanced lows, mid-range snarl and clear top end make the Muscle T™ perfect for any player that wants legendary single coil Tele® tone with a modern touch. Each pickup is individually hand-wound and tested in our New York City factory.

DiMarzio Muscle T Neck Chrome

The Muscle T™ Neck retains all the dynamic response of a good early sixties Tele® pickup but adds more of the glassy sparkle that Tele® neck pickups always lacked. Our Muscle T™ Neck has been carefully calibrated with more volume and presence to keep up with the needs of modern players, and the overall musical character delivers a better string-to-string balance for rhythms that cut and precise soloing. DiMarzio Fantom P90 Nickel

We don’t have to convince you that vintage P90 pickups are special. You already love their thick mid-range grittiness and growl, their creamy single-notes, and their harmonic bloom. The only drawback has been that P90s are noisy. DiMarzio’s challenge was to create a hum-canceling pickup that fit into a P90 cover yet retained the classic nuance, sound, and appearance of a Fifties P90. Our patent-pending design breaks new ground in guitar pickup development, and uses four coils to give you a P90 without the hum. So go ahead and crank up your amp without fear of the hum.
