Alder Body

An alder body provides this bass with a recognizable warm tone, more mids, and a softer attack. Alder has been a staple in achieving Fender bass tones for years, and helps Laura Lee achieve her signature sound.

Dimarzio Ultra Jazz Pickups

Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups, a modern take on vintage-voiced Jazz Bass pickups are hum-canceling without sacrificing any of the classic tones that Jazz Bass pickups are known. They deliver deep lows, percussive highs and can cut through any mix.

Rosewood Fingerboard

Rosewood is a classic Fender tonewood, appreciated for its smooth feel and warm, round tone. The 9.5” radius fingerboard with jumbo frets provides a modern feel and precise note fingering. The rich brown color also pairs nicely with the cream finish of Laura’s bass.

Custom “U” Shape Neck

Based off a vintage 70’s Jazz Bass, this neck has wider shoulders and a medium thickness providing a comfortable neck feel, perfect for any style of playing.

Dual Concentric Volume / Tone Controls

Vintage-style concentric volume/tone knobs provide an intuitive and streamlined way to shape your sound. With volume and tone controls conveniently integrated into a single knob stack, you can easily adjust both parameters for either pickup.

Olinto P Bass P4-2383 Charcoal Blue

The Olinto 4-string P bass is by far one of the most interesting handmade boutique instruments on the planet. Not only do we hand shape our body and necks, but we hand wind our pickups, as well. We use the same “scatter wound” technique used in the 60’s to reproduce a very authentic vintage sound that so many players look for. If that wasn’t enough hand work, we hand wind all our strings as well.The flat wound strings we use on these Olintos do not deviate from constructions that were used by the most iconic bass players like James Jamerson, Bob Babbit, and Donald “Duck” Dunn. In our goal to keep certain vintage aspects of our build intact, all of our necks are made with flat sawn maple. One of the few details we don’t take from these vintage style instruments is the single acting truss rod. All of our basses use dual acting truss rods to create an incredibly stable neck. We use artist grade Madagascar Rosewood for the finger boards, and real clay for the dot markers. With 40 years of experience in finishing instruments, he uses his expertise to reproduce incredibly authentic vintage bursts & colors for our basses.
