The Fender® American Ultra II Jazz Bass® features a select alder body with sculpted body contours. For effortless playability, the quartersawn maple neck features our Modern D profile and smooth Ultra Satin finish. Ebony or quartersawn maple 10”-14” compound radius fingerboards feature Ultra rolled edges, medium-jumbo frets, Luminlay® side dots and Graph Tech® TUSQ® nuts. The tapered neck heel and sculpted body contours allow unparalleled access to the higher register, while the truss rod access at the headstock provides convenient and easy setup and adjustment.

Outfitted with a set of specially designed Ultra II Noiseless™ Vintage Jazz Bass pickups, this bass delivers a massive tonal range, from vintage warmth to modern snap, all without a hint of hum. The Ultra II Noiseless™ Vintage pickups are responsive and expressive, delivering definitive J Bass® growl for exceptional Fender tone without hum. Ultra II Noiseless™ pickups feature an evolved architecture of specialized stacked coils with the top coil wound around Alnico V rod magnets to produce true single-coil Fender tone, and the isolated bottom coil calibrated to preserve the tone and simply reject hum.

ULTRA II ACTIVE BASS PREAMP WITH S-1™ SWITCHING

Redesigned for unprecedented control, this 18 volt preamp features S-1™ switching for active/passive operation so you can change modes on the fly and a global passive tone control to easily shape your active and passive sounds for authentically deep vintage timbres. The precise and powerful 3-band active EQ offers shimmering musical highs, satisfyingly punchy lows and a switchable midrange frequency to seriously sculpt your sound.

Olinto P Bass P4-2383 Charcoal Blue

The Olinto 4-string P bass is by far one of the most interesting handmade boutique instruments on the planet. Not only do we hand shape our body and necks, but we hand wind our pickups, as well. We use the same “scatter wound” technique used in the 60’s to reproduce a very authentic vintage sound that so many players look for. If that wasn’t enough hand work, we hand wind all our strings as well.The flat wound strings we use on these Olintos do not deviate from constructions that were used by the most iconic bass players like James Jamerson, Bob Babbit, and Donald “Duck” Dunn. In our goal to keep certain vintage aspects of our build intact, all of our necks are made with flat sawn maple. One of the few details we don’t take from these vintage style instruments is the single acting truss rod. All of our basses use dual acting truss rods to create an incredibly stable neck. We use artist grade Madagascar Rosewood for the finger boards, and real clay for the dot markers. With 40 years of experience in finishing instruments, he uses his expertise to reproduce incredibly authentic vintage bursts & colors for our basses.
