Acoustic body with maple top, back, and sides provides a bright and naturally expressive tone

There's no substitute for the mellow and naturally resonant sound of an electric bass with an acoustic body. Ibanez built their AFB200 hollowbody bass to capture the fat warmth of a classic hollowbody, which is why they built it with an all-laminate maple body. Whether you're playing rockabilly, blues, jazz, or any number of modern styles, you're going to love the character the AFB200 hollowbody bass guitar brings to your music.

Humbucking pickups deliver punchy bass

Ibanez basses are used in every style of music from metal to rock to jazz and country. The versatile pickups in the AFB200 give you warm, full tones that are ideal for any gig. These pickups complement the hollowbody design perfectly with extra output and punch. Bassists at Sweetwater are sure you'll be impressed with the sound of this unique bass.

A neck designed for comfort and performance

The slightly shorter 30" scale of the Ibanez AFB200 is extremely comfortable to play. A set maple/nyatoh neck topped with a laurel fretboard feels great thanks to its Artcore Bass neck profile. The 15.75" radius makes the entire fingerboard easy to reach, and the cutaway body design lets you access the upper fretboard without any issues. There's no question about it, the Ibanez AFB200 was made to be played.
