LIGHTWEIGHT PINE CABINET

Lightweight, yet strong, pine was used to craft Fender amps in the 1950s and ’60s, making for more resonant and more “musical” speaker cabinets.

Known among players as hidden treasures from the early ’60s, Fender “brown panel” amplifiers are prized for bridging the gap between the raw sound of its ’50s-era tweed-covered amps and the sparkling clean tones of its mid-’60s “black panel” amps, with a distinctive sound all their own.The ’62 Deluxe Amp replicates the sound of those originals with its incredibly warm, woody clean tones and mean overdrive when cranked.
