With its striking black top finish and cream-colored appointments, the Gold Label 714e Blacktop blends bold stage-ready visuals with old-school acoustic character. Solid Indian rosewood back and sides are paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top in a gloss-finished Super Auditorium body, which is slightly longer and has a wider lower bout than our Grand Auditorium models. Voiced by a fanned variant of our V-Class™ bracing architecture, this model produces a deep, open voice with warm, resonant lows, warm trebles and richly textured overtones. Our special roasting recipe for the soundboard slightly darkens the spruce while adding a played-in character to its sound. A slender long-tenon Action Control Neck™ provides signature Taylor playability and allows for quick, precise string-height adjustments through the soundhole. Design elements exclusive to the Gold Label Collection include a distinctive pickguard shape and a modified headstock with an angled-back cut and script-style logo. Additional details include a Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge paired with Indian rosewood bridge pins, complemented by cream-colored accents throughout—rosette, pickguard, binding and matching Crest fretboard inlays. Equipped with LR Baggs Element VTC electronics and Taylor nickel tuners, the Gold Label 714e Blacktop ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case with a British Cocoa exterior.
