Recording King RD328 Ac.Gtr

Part of our Tonewood Reserve Series, the Recording King RD-328 evokes classic dreadnought style, sound & volume thanks to hand-selected tonewoods and vintage styling. The foundation of the 328’s tone comes from select solid Adirondack spruce tops. Adirondack delivers a stiff, loud, lightweight top with powerful fundamental tone and excellent projection. Combine the hand-picked Adirondack tops with select solid Rosewood back and sides, and you have the all-solid basics for guitars that have powered genres like bluegrass and country for decades. We finish the 328 with classy, low-key fretboard dots on the rosewood fretboard, and a vintage-style tortoise pickguard to protect the top. The 328’s classic rosette design and herringbone body purfling complete the traditional look. For players that need the power and volume that only a dreadnought can provide and still want the warmth and vibrance that comes with premium tonewoods, the RD-328 offers the best of both worlds at a fraction of the price of a vintage instrument.

Yamaha FS820 NAT Ac.Gtr

The FS 820 NT Natural is a compact acoustic guitar that produces a very powerful and balanced sound due to its lightweight construction. Thanks to a solid spruce top, this sound develops quickly and completely and is especially defined in the mid and high frequencies, so that the instrument is particularly effective in the individual tones. The short NATO neck with walnut fretboard gives the player easy access to all 20 frets, which are marked with dot inlays. The interaction between the saddle and 43 mm wide nut made of urea not only promises clean intonation over the entire scale length of 634 mm, but also creates a lot of space to easily master even extensive fingering patterns. Chrome-plated die-cast tuners, a tortoise pickguard, cream-colored bindings and a double-ring rosette give the Yamaha FS 820 a noble touch, rounded off by a high-gloss finish. Featuring enhanced sonic benefits from RK’s exclusive CrossLap bracing and bone nut and saddle, this comfortable 23" scale tenor guitar is sure to introduce the joy of playing tenor to a whole new audience. Players have been asking Recording King designers for years to release an affordable tenor guitar in the Dirty 30s style. The Recording King Series 7 Tenor guitar gives jazz, folk, and old-time guitarists (and banjo players!) a high-value, mojo-packed, great-sounding tenor to add to their collections.   The tenor guitar, generally tuned CGDA, has long been a staple of old-time players and has continued to pique the interest of the mainstream musicians looking to augment their sound.  Recording King’s Series 7 Tenor Guitar has a familiar 000-size body, with the same retro aesthetic as other Dirty 30s models. Recording King Parlour gtr.TBS

A modern update of a classic turn-of-the-century guitar. It's perfect for guitar history buffs, recording engineers, front-porch blues players, and thanks to the smaller body size and shorter scale length, beginners who need a compact, easy to play, great-sounding instrument. The traditional parlor-size body is based on a historic "no-logo" Lyon & Healy model. It's built with a solid spruce top for classic tone, comfortable ovangkol fretboard with stencil fret markers, a 24.2" scale length and a bone nut and saddle for excellent string/body resonance. Recording King guitars combine vintage design with modern upgrades for players, and the Dirty 30's Parlor is no exception. Many turn-of-the-century small-body guitars were made with ladder bracing, but the Dirty 30's Parlor benefits from x-bracing designed to accommodate modern string tension but retain the sound of the vintage parlor guitars.

Taylor GT Urban ash / Spruce

Designed from the ground up for comfort, playability and rich tone, the GT Urban Ash debuts a new compact body shape with a big, resonant acoustic voice. The GT (Grand Theater) shares the basic footprint of the jumbo-sized Grand Orchestra shape, but its proportions have been scaled down (including a shallower body depth), creating a fun, inviting feel in a package that you can take virtually anywhere. The GT also features a uniquely proportioned neck with a scale length of 24-⅛”, a bit longer than the GS Mini and a bit shorter than the Grand Concert. The neck provides a slinky fretting feel thanks to reduced string tension. It comes together in the GT Urban Ash, built with solid back and sides of the responsibly sourced tonewood that gives the guitar its name. A solid spruce top helps charge the GT’s tonal response with projection that belies its small frame, powered by the new asymmetrical C-Class bracing design, which translates the tone-enhancing properties of V-Class bracing into a sonic engine that’s appropriate for this new body shape. Expect a warm, punchy midrange accentuated by crisp treble notes, with an impressive bass response that owes its surprising power to the new bracing scheme. A beautiful fretboard of responsibly sourced smoked eucalyptus delivers the feel of a rosewood fretboard with the tonal character of ebony, while a thin matte finish preserves the guitar’s resonance. A clean-cut appointment package includes Pinnacle inlays in Italian acrylic, a three-ring koa rosette and a dusky Urban Sienna stain on the ash back and sides. It ships in a super-durable yet lightweight AeroCase™.
