KORG launched their first monophonic synth, miniKORG 700, in 1973 and upgraded it one year later to the miniKORG 700S. This model returns in a new, modern, guise that preserves the originals unique voicing and delivers current-day functionality to create a timeless design. A true synth staple, whose sound was the basis for Korg’s more recent creations such as the Prologue and the Minilogue.
Fat and dense are just two ways to describe the sonic characteristics of the 700FS. Craft thick bass lines and punchy leads with the classic Korg voice. The original effects, the Bender, Traveller and Expander, are still present and optimised for a modern user, side by side with new spring reverb, a joystick for pitch bend and modulation, aftertouch, an arpeggiator and all the inputs you need to integrate it into your system.

FAT, DENSE TONES
Relive and revive the majestic analogue synth sound of the MiniKORG 700S, now with an added oscillator for more sound design fun and depth. Get creative with designing your bass and lead sounds - in combination with the Traveller (pitch bend) - for unusual results. You can choose between sine, square and sawtooth waveforms, plus two different chorus types for fat sounds.
You might also recognise these sounds from the Volca Bass and the Volca Keys, which use the same circuit as the MiniKORG 700S. The clear and penetrating characteristics of this filter were a perfect match for products that specialise in lead and bass synth sounds with a strong presence.
TIMELESS AND MODERN EFFECTS
The MiniKORG 700S featured three iconic effects: the Bender, pitch bend, the Traveller, filter, and the Expander envelope.
These effects all appear in the MiniKORG 700FS, with new improved design and controls. The traveller pays homage to its original design with the two levers positioned under the keyboard, the top to control the low pass filter, the lower one to control the high pass. This gives you complete command over the filter intensity. The bender is now controlled via a joystick and a new spring reverb will add extra detail to your sound design. Another new great function is the arpeggiator, for extra versatility and creative freedom while creating your tunes.
With the original MiniKORG 700S, you had to write down the position of every knob and lever to recreate your favourite patches, now the MiniKORG 700FS features 14 memory slots to save your own presets.
FUTURISTIC VINTAGE DESIGN
Designed in collaboration with Fumio Mieda, the original designer of MiniKORG 700FS, this reissue faithfully recreates its predecessor. The controls are placed under the keyboard, as originally the MiniKORG was used alongside organs making it easier to use.
KORG has also designed a limited edition custom wooden case made especially for this product, protecting it while you travel.
