Triton Fethead mic booster
Fethead er hugsaður til að magna styrk frá hljóðnemum með lágum útgangi, eins og ribbon hljóðnemum og dynamiskum hljóðnemum. Með því vinnst ýmislegt. Í fyrsta lagi er inngansgviðnámið inná Fethead margfalt meira en inná flesta formagnara, sem þýðir að spólan eða "mótorinn" keyra undir minna álagi, sem skilar ögn fylltari hljóm. Í öðru lagi batnar svokallað "signal to noise ratio", þar sem merkið sem sent er eftir snúrunni er sterkara og allar mögulegar rafsegurtruflanir og þess háttar sem snúran getur pikkað upp því lægri í hlutfalli við hljoðið.
