Many pedals try to emulate the sound of tube breakup; we decided instead of emulating tube distortion, we’d use actual vacuum tubes and give you the real deal in a compact pedal. The heart of the MTG’s design is a NOS (New Old Stock) US-made 6205 preamp tube. 3-Band EQ with Tight control and switchable boost—with its own Level and Boost controls—makes it easy to dial-in just the right sound.

REAL TUBE

The heart of the MTG Tube distortion is a genuine vacuum tube, in this case a NOS (New Old Stock) 6205 preamp tube.

EQ CONTROLS

Not only does the EQ section sport the traditional Bass, Middle and Treble controls, it also has a Tight control so you can contour the low end to taste.

BOOST CONTROLS

The Boost has its own Level and Boost controls—Level controls the master output level when the Boost circuit is engaged, while the Boost control affects how much gain is introduced.

ENCLOSURE

We managed to shrink the MTG’s circuitry, fitting true tube-driven distortion into a chassis that easily fits on any pedalboard.

9V POWER

The MTG uses a typical 9V center-negative power supply, making it easy to integrate into any rig. Internally, a switch-mode power supply converts the incoming 9 volts to 150 volts and applies that higher voltage to the tube’s plate—just like an amplifier.

STAGE-READY CONSTRUCTION

Every Fender effects pedal is crafted from lightweight, durable anodized aluminum and includes LED-illuminated controls.

Warm Audio Throne of Tone

The Throne Of Tone is a tribute to not one, but two extremely sought-after overdrive pedals based on a classic amplifier recording in the late 1960s. Twenty-five years after Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton changed tone chasing forever, a now-classic amp-in-a-box style pedal was launched and set a new standard in transparent amp-like overdrive tones. From that original pedal, a modified, two-sided boutique OD would emerge over a decade later and change the hierarchy of guitar overdrive for good. The original pedals used by artists like John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr, and John Petrucci are known to blend in with any rig, or transform clean tones into completely different tone stacks. The Tube Squealer faithfully recreates not one, not two, but three of the most famous flavors of the most played overdrive pedal of all time. While there are seemingly countless revisions and tributes, the venerable original 808, TS9, and TS10 versions of the circuit have famously been used by iconic guitar players like Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer, Slash, John Frusciante and many more. Like all three original pedals, Tube Squealer delivers that classic amp-driving tone with all the nuance of the different circuits to support all types of playing - from edge of breakup blues, to searing metal solo boosts.

Tech 21 SansAmp Paradriver DI V2

This floor version of our RPM rackmount provides the same detailed tone shaping possibilities for any signal source. It is particularly useful with acoustic, electric and bass guitars, and upright bass, either direct to a mixing console or with an instrument amplifier. The Para Driver DI gives your instrument a natural warmth and presence, as if miking it through a tube pre-amp. The SansAmp circuitry eliminates the harsh, unnatural harmonics of piezo pickups, while the Drive control offers some tasteful edge — just a little or over-the-top. Version 2 has exactly the same tonality and functionality with the addition of two new features: Rumble Filter and Air.
