Origin Effects BassRIG 64 Black Panel
The BASSRIG ’64 Black Panel is, quite simply, a complete vintage bass amp in a pedal. Based on Fender®’s Showman® and Bassman® amplifiers, we have used all-analogue circuitry to recreate a complete valve amp-style signal path, along with an all-analogue cabinet simulator, giving you the drive, grit and articulation of these classic amps in one small box.
Back in the days before modern bass amps, achieving high stage volumes with bass guitar was a challenge that required powerful, clean amps. Nobody fills this niche quite like Fender®. Their high-powered amps – designed with guitar and bass in mind – graced countless stages and studios throughout the 1960s. The Showman®, with its 2×15 cabinets, and the later Bassman® models boast an illustrious list of users between them, including Sir Paul McCartney, Crazy Horse’s Billy Talbot and our own personal favourite, Berry Oakley of The Allman Brothers.
In fact, a whole host of Fenders can be heard amplifying the bass on some of the greatest Soul and Rock ‘n’ Roll records of the ‘60s. At Origin Effects, we believe that this boundary-pushing era has given us some of history’s best bass tones.

The RockBoard Flat Power Cables are high-quality power supply cables for effects pedals and were developed, based on our Flat Patch Cables. Their super compact plugs are smaller than those of most other power cables on the market. This way they save valuable pedal board space as well as potrusions over the pedalboard's edge. Other than most commonly available power cables, Rockboard Flat Power Cables do not use two parallel cable lines, but use the same design as instrument cables with a central wire surrounded by a shielding layer. This effectively prevents electrical interference into the audio signal.

Dreadbox DARKNESS is a Digital True Stereo Reverb effect pedal and it is a result of our collaboration with Sinevibes. By combining two exquisite Sinevibes Algorithms, Dreadbox team took this even further by extending the code and making these suitable for use as an effect pedal. Dreadbox favours open architecture in most of their devices, so instead of having several switched algorithms, DARKNESS has a single versatile and flexible formula, that can create from Small and Smooth Reflections up to Huge Shimmering and Endless Reverbs. Technically, DARKNESS is a Granular Pitch Shifter, followed by the famous large Reverb found on the Typhon synthesizer and ending up to a gate generator. My take on the Stooges/Asheton fuzz tone, based on the Fuzzrite and heavily modded. here's the deal...That ear piercing treble is rolled off while retaining the raunchy 60'stransistor fight the original silicon versions were legendary for.This is the ideal pedal for trashy garage rock n roll, retro psych fuzz, and nasty dirt riffage. There is more depth to the tone, and there's some cool subtle octave harmonic stuff going on about halfway through the dirt control. A lot of time was spent sampling types of transistor pairings for these… small changes make a huge difference in this circuit. It’s very dynamic and holds strong definition without too much crazy fuzz washout…but still nasty and aggressive like you would expect from Daredevil.All hand wired in Chicago. True bypass, takes a battery or DC jack.

A Daredevil collaboration with legendary guitarist Earl Slick. Designed for maximum dynamic fuzz and octave control, this 2 in 1 features independent circuits with an optional noise gate control to keep things tight in between playing.
This original design Fuzz keeps the controls simple... Volume and Gain control, with a depth tone stack to boost or attenuate the low end. CCW is vintage and bright with enough texture to cut through. Turn the depth knob to the right and listen to the bottom fatten up, bringing your tone right back to modern fuzz power.
The Octave above circuit is stacked before the fuzz giving you the most the effect has to offer. Double stops turn into swirling, gnashing sonic feq-out. High end harmonic tones that stir up Hendrix-like sustain and singing sweet bite. This is an independent channel... stack it with your other favorite effects or use the Fuzz side on it's own. The options are limitless.
Noise gate control can be increased turning clockwise, cutting out the background hiss in between playing... which can be helpful at high gain settings with the Octave engaged. Bypass the noise gate when using the gain or volume rolled back to keep all the subtleties intact.
Currently this circuit has spent the last year as the main effect on Slick's board including the Experience Bowie tour which is still moving forward. Hit it with a tele (his main axe) or humbuckers, P90's, etc.. they all dial in great with this double edged sword... which is what the Daisho name translates to. Kanji artwork is taken from Earl's tattoo and developed by local legend and artist Casey Von Sass. True Bypass, runs on 9V neg ground external DC source.

What we have is a smooth sweeping wah with a single knob to set your pitch. A boost section has been added to give you more gain and power as needed. Balance these two features out with the Blend control, adjusting how much wah signal goes to output. Very cool for dialing in the cocked tone subtle enough to be left on all the time, or for just a bit of a frequency tweak. Full clockwise gives you the complete effect. The gain section is warm, loud, and gives a nice crunch to your amp's output. No need to try and hit a boost before hand, it's all there. Get the killer tones from the likes of Mick Ronson, Micheal Schenker, Slash, etc… Accept no substitutes.
The Atomic Cocked has true bypass switching, and runs from a 9V - DC power supply with negative ground, minimum 200mA rating is suggested.
